5. Continuing on for 5. Would this dose of doxycycline have cured the NGU if I did have it?
6. Is NGU contagious.
7. Can NGU cure itself without the use of antibiotics?
8. Are there any other STDS I should test for from this receipt of oral sex.
I really am unsure how to proceed right now and from reading the forum about people experiencing prostatitis symptoms following oral sex, I am somewhat convinced I got the prostatis from NGU. (The first symptoms started 2 weeks after oral sex but then more and more symptoms started coming such as the testicle pain and foot pain)

Also to add I have an itchy meatus one time for maybe like 1-2 weeks but besides that my urethra and meatus was fine. (no burning with urination etc)
Mainly most of the pain I have on my penis is on the foreskin area to the left.

Welcome back, but sorry you felt the need. I'll be taking your questions this time, but I reviewed your recent discussion with Dr. Hook and agree with all he said.
---
1) Nobody ever gets any STI from lying on a massage table or bed, or from any other environmental exposure.
2-7) Yes, NGU can be acquired by oral sex, but orally acquired cases are is believed to be harmless, due to entirely normal oral bacteria -- a trivial, non-worrisome condition. In any case, your symptoms are not at all suggestive of urethritis of any kind. They sound entirely emotional in origin -- your anxieties making you more aware of trivial symptoms or even normal body sensations that you otherwise would ignore or not even notice. Further, NGU would clear up on its own within few weeks: you cannot still have NGU from an exposure two years earlier. There is no lab test for NGU. And if somehow you had it, those antibiotics would have cured it -- and yes, NGU from oral sex probably always clears up on its own, without treatment.
8) No other STI is likely from the oral sex event 2 years ago. But if you haven't been tested for STIs in the meantime and would like the reassurance of negative test results, you could have a urine test for gonorrhea and blood tests for HIV and syphilis. If you choose to be tested, you can count on negative results.
NGU and NSU are just different terminology for the exact same condition.
The pains you describe are not possibly due to any STI. As for the other symptoms mentioned above, I strongly suspect an emotional origin.
It's time for you to move on and stop obsessing about a non-risky sexual event that you obviously regret. You have no infection of any kind from it. If you continue to worry despite the reasoned, science based reassurance you have now had (probably from your own doctor[s] in addition to this forum), you should consider professional counseling. Your worries are completely irrational. Also I strongly suggest you stop any and all internet searching about all this. Like most anxious persons, you are being drawn to information that inflames your anxieties. It isn't worth it.

Thanks Dr Handsfield for the reply. I have already taken a syphilis and HIV and gonnorhea test and all have showed negative.
Additional questions:
1. So what are the symptoms of NGU/NSU? If I did have NGU, would it be contagious? I am planning on taking a urine analysis test for my prostatitis soon and if it is free of bacteria, I guess I can assume I'm okay then?
2. Not related, but is it possible for you to get gonnorhea/chlymdia or any of the bacterial STD from fingering of the rectum. Let's say I had my own body fluids from my penis on my hands and I have gonnorhea/chlymdia in my penis/urethra and then I fingered my rectum, would this be any risk? (so transferring it from your penis to rectum) I know this is an extreme situation but I am quite a paranoid person. If this did happen, would the doxycycline that I took have cured it?
Thanks

1) NGU causes abnormal discharge of mucus or pus from the penis. If you don't have that, you do not have NGU. When acquired from oral sex, it is not believed to be contagious.
2) No. You cannot get these STDs by fingering or the rectum or anywhere else. Nobody has ever been known to transfer any infection from their own penis to their rectum.
That concludes this thread. Repeated questions on the same topic are not permitted; this being your second, it will have to be your last on these issues. Such excess questions are at risk for being deleted without reply (and without refund of the posting fee). I do hope both discussions have been helpful. Best wishes.
