Hello . i just had protected sex with my boyfriend who has hsv2 and i wore female condom because i had a skin abrasion in the outer skin beneath the big lips of my vagina. The thing is that at the emd of the act when i removed the condom it had a leakage. I dont think we had skin contact but his sperm i dont know where it went . he didnt had lesions. What should i do. I m still negative of hsv2 at this moment.after sex i washed my genital and applied desifincting ointment

There is nothing to do at this point. If only the semen leaked out of the condom somehow (did not notice holes in the condom) transmission is highly unlikely. It is the skin to skin contact that is worrisome, not the semen. Is your boyfriend taking daily antiviral medication to reduce the risk of transmission to you?

When i wrote the message i was in panick 3am. So next morning i tried to evaluate better the situation and i searched the condom in the trash can, filled it with water and there was no leakage. It must have been my vaginal fluids in the extremity that gave me the impression of semen and leakage. I wasnt familiar with that . during the act I was holding the condom to make sure it covers my genitalia and there is no contact. But who can ever be sure right? Unfortunately the doctors in france told him that the only reason to take antiviral drugs is if he has a lesion. Not as a prevention. They advised him against. And he treats me as a fool taking advice from some random usa site although i tried to explain your credentials.i dont share his opinion. And he is very into essentials oils etc and told me that he is not willing to take antiviral because he will have side effects. Besides that i wanted to ask if we have an herpetic genital lesion then the blood test will definitely be positive right?and for my case who has already hsv1 if i get infected by hsv2 it can go unnoticed with no symptoms right? So for me the only way to know is blood test? Because i can contract it and have no pain or nothing right?Do you recommend any hygienic products that i could use? Betadine or other? Thank you very much for doing this for us.

Unfortunately, the physicians he talked with are uninformed about the use of antiviral medication to reduce transmission. So you can cite an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, 2004, Larry Corey is the first author, that found this to be useful.
If you have a lesion that is positive for herpes by swab test, the IgG blood test will likely pick it up, yes, with 92% certainty. And yes, a person who already has HSV 1 is less likely to have symptoms when and if they acquire HSV 2. There are no products that could reduce transmission to you, no.

Hello i took the blood test inhad a score of hsv2 igG of 2.2 . can it be a false positif?

I took it in the same laboratory as before . september was negatif and now positif . since july i only had sex with a condom with this guy. Is it possible that it is a false positif? Where can i have a western blot in europe? Do you know? What should i do?

The 2.2 could also be a false positive so I would recommend confirmatory testing to see if this a true positive or a false positive. The best is the western blot done at the University of Washington
