Welcome to our foreman thanks for your confidence in our service. As you know, the purpose of this forum is to advise clients and provide information on sexually transmitted infections, including HIV. Apparently those processes have been ruled out by testing. .I am not sure that I will be able to help you. You have apparently tested for STI’s and have negative tests. In addition the antibiotics that you have taken would be expected to cure virtually all STI’s in common genito-urinary skin infections. Further, the distribution of the ration irritation that you describe it’s not at all typical of any STI. At this point I have the following recommendations:
1. The problem you described sounds dermatologic in nature. I would encourage you to get a second opinion from a different dermatologist. At that time I would suggest that the dermatologist evaluate you not only for purely dermatologic problems, but also for various collagen vascular diseases.
2. You mention that you’ve taken a number of different antibacterial and anti-fungal medication’s, apparently without a response. At this time I would stop taking antibiotics and applying any topical medication. Part of what you describe may represent a drug reaction.
3. Do your best to not scratch or otherwise irritate the rash. Sometimes scratching creates a rash like reaction which kind of secure the diagnosis of the original process.
Again, I’m sorry I cannot be of more help to you in sorting this process. It will be important for you to be thoroughly and carefully evaluated by someone who is able to directly observe you and take a detailed history of the course of your illness. I wish you the best. EWH
