[Question #8594] Abrasion on penis
|
Hello, I appreciate your time. I recently received manual stimulation (handjob)from a female. No lubricant was used and it was rather rough. Afterwards I noticed a small abrasion on my penis and minor swelling. The swelling has since subsided and the abrasion is healing. My question is because of the abrasion am I at risk of any STD from her hand? No other sexual activities took place. Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question.
No STDs are transmitted by hand-genital contact. A superficial injury to the penis from vigorous stimulation is not likely to change that fact. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I hope this is helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thank you for your reply. I assumed that the abrasion put me at risk if she had something on her hand.

I suppose it may have slightly increased the risk. However, if you think about it, there must be billions of hand-genital events like this every year, and some of them (millions?) may be sufficiently vigorous to cause abrasions. And still I've never seen an STI acquired in this situation, and to my knowledge neither have my many expert colleagues over 40 years. So if it happens, it must be exceedingly rare.
I hope that makes sense. Let me know if not.

Makes perfect sense. Thank you very much. Puts me at ease to know with you and your colleagues decades of experience have never seen an STI spread this way. Needless to say I was very very concerned about this. Again thank you!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad to have helped. That completes the two follow-up exchanges included with each question and so ends this thread. Best wishes and stay safe.---
