Dear dr hook, we spoke recently regarding a sexual encounter I had.
Unprotected oral and vaginal sex 7 days ago.
Briefing summary of everything
In day 5 A GP saw me and said nothing to worry about. For preventive measure they gave me a shot for gonorea and chlamydia
Since day 4/5 I have developed red spots in the penile head. They gave me Neosporin but bothered me so just put it once.
Day 6 spots get better but was wearing relaxed cloth and letting the penis breath more.
Day 7 the spots are still there and they have not developed into blisters. Penis feels sore ,No fever no swollen lymph node but to emphasize that my foreskin has been really tight, surprisingly because I am circumcised.

I am currently on my way to the emergency room and have it checked out.

What is your input of the situation?

Thanks for all your help !

I’m sorry that you ontology to worry.  My assessment is unchanged.  This is not an STI and certainly not herpes.  It still may be a fungal infection ( some of the anti fungal creams can be irritating in themselves).

The majority of genital rashes are not STIS.

I’ll be interested to hear what the clinking the emergency room says.  EWH

Good morning doctor hook
Wanted to give you an update.
Went to the er and said he doesn’t think it’s herpes, just irritated and referred me to an urologist.
Si far this red spot I have, I noticed it for the past 3/4 days. It’s in the shaft and has not really changed into blisters like from the pictures.
No fever, no flu symptoms. And since I was negative for both herpes before I would assume it would have hitten me harder. Today I am in day 8. I will give you a final update in day 12. I have an appointment with an urologist and if some changes should appear it should be by then. .

Thank you so much for your help and time

Thank you for the follow up and the additional information. I am glad that the clinician that you saw in the emergency room agreed with me that the spot you have found was not herpes. I am confident it is not an STI of any sort. Please do your best to not worry about this. Take care. EWH---

Hi Dr Hook
Hope your doing well.
Update of everything
April 16 Unprotected Sex
Vaginal and Oral
Day 5
GP gave me a prevent one-shot and two pills for Gono and Chlam. Penis was a bit red and prescribed antibiotic ointment
I had some red spots in the head and added the cream but really burned so I decided to Stop
Day 7
Did not like a red spot in my shaft, had to really zoom in to see something.
Went to an er and send a picture to my urologist back home
ER doctor said I dont know and it does not look like herpes
Urologist said it could be a balanitis so just said to wash and not apply anything.
Day 9
Went to a Std center and doctor saw me and said that it did not look like herpes
Day 10
it looks better, i am applying some vaseline and gets the red away.
Day 11 applied powder and coconut oil and well got even more red
Day 12 just saw urologist and took a culture (just rubbed the head of my penis )
He said it does not look like herpes but prescribed another antibiotic ointment
Should I use it ?
I have tested negative for both Herpes for the past 10 years in IGG and no symptoms.
My question is, if I was a true negative, wouldnt I have seen stronger symptoms
Such as fever and blisters like in the pictures?
One of the doctors would have caught it right?
Could herpes be so mild even if its a primary one and be confusing to four doctors ?

As you know, we provide up to three responses for each client’s questions. This will be my third and final response.

This question is a repeat of your earlier questions and the answers have not changed. There is no evidence you acquired any STI, including herpes From the encounter you described. Do you have now seen multiple healthcare providers all of them are unanimous that the penile lesions that  you noticed were not herpes.  Hi urge you to give up on your unwarranted concerns about herpes.

This completes this thread. EWH
