[Question #882] What is Herpes type II igG test -- negative mean

For the Heroes type II igG test , I got a negative result at 0.27 ( negative is less than 0.90)
What is that mean to this negative ? I never infected ? Or infected but now at low level with antibody ? And will I transfer to my partner ?
As my ex husband is positive with this . So this is my worry !

With 95% certainty this means you DO NOT have HSV 2 - you are not infected. All results have a number, you just want to be sure it is below 1.1 and yours most certainly is.

Thanks Terri ! For my enquory , may I Hv one more doctor to reply me too ? So I Could double comfirm that I am never affected and not a disease carrier .

I'm sorry, that's not how this board works. And I know with 100% certainty that both Drs. Hook and Handsfield would say that same thing
