Hi, I know you have given me advice and told me to see an ID doctor about my concerns and I am awaiting a referral from my primary doctor. I am still struggling immensely and have been in such a tormenting place lately I really could use some more scientific reassurance. I am still struggling today with persistent lymph nodes, thrush (mild, but it’s there none the less) and i have developed a rash  that I am sure is Pitraysis lichenoids (awaiting dermatologist appointment), which can be connected to viruses, drugs, etc. One of the viruses being HIV. I am utterly terrified. I had some neurological numbness/weakness symptoms, some shortness of breath at times (it comes and goes), nail changes, occasional canker sores, and some very small petechial rashes. On top of this, a few months ago I had flu like symptoms (so mild I did not put 2 and 2 together until reading an article about HIV)  3 weeks after sex with a new partner. I developed BV after this encounter. This partner sent me proof from Quest labs of a negative 4th generation, blood from a vein laboratory test 56 days (8 weeks) after OUR encounter (or what would have been 10 weeks after his previous sexual contact that was before me) as well as negative results for everything including hep A,B, and C  BUT  HSV1 was active/positive. He is a heterosexual as far as i know but is a single man and has had many female sexual contacts. At 14 weeks (100 days) after our encounter, I tested negative with a blood from a vein, hospital laboratory performed 3rd generation antibodies test. His most current ex girlfriend has been in contact with me, and she says she has tested hiv negative 3 months after meeting him as well. (I know this is somewhat irrelevant)

Doctor, with my list of symptoms, and negative test results on both sides, do you think these symptoms could be due to something else, as I have started numerous medications since the lymph nodes and pitraysis licheonides rash symptoms arose. Or do youCould it be cancer?

I meant to say, before it ended, do you think this could be cancer considering the persistence of the lymph node swelling? Or could it be The CMV still? (Diagnosed with active CMV a month before appearance of lymph swelling) (Submandular bilateral swelling, bilateral Anterior cervical swelling, as well as unilateral swelling of one inguinal node)

I know this service is not a replacement for seeing a specialist in person, just wanting an opinion of if any of this is even possible. I am awaiting a referral/ appointment with two specialists (dermatologist and infectious disease)

I should mention, the man i had the encounter with lives near a very urban city that has high crime and STD rates, (Memphis TN) if it is relevant.

I'm sorry, but these questions add no new information, and there is nothing that alters the advice I have conveyed previously. Your main question -- whether your symptoms could be "...due to something else [other than HIV or STIs]" and "Could it be cancer?" -- are beyond the scope of this forum. We only address HIV and STIs, not other health conditions. I have no additional opinions or advice about your situation.

As a reminder from the closure of the second of your two previous threads:  "While I appreciate your thanks and your kind comments about the forum, this will have to be your last question on these issues. Repeated question on the same topic are not permitted, especially when anxiety driven -- and you can be sure there is no information, new symptoms, or other circumstances that would alter the advice you have already had. And such questions have limited educational value for other users, one of the forum's main goals. Excessive or repetitive questions are subject to deletion without reply, and without reimbursement of the posting fee. Thank you for your understanding."

You'll need to keep working with your doctors on this. I wish you well.
