[Question #9088] Gonorrhoea

Last Tuesday I received unprotected oral from a f csw. She stated that she test regularly. I know oral gonorrhoea will often have no symptoms so it's possible she could have it without knowing.
I started noticing some spotting in my underwear on Thursday but I have to occasionally straight Cath so it could be urine. I went to the doctor who found trace amount of blood and small amt bilirubin. I tested neg gonorrhoea Chlamydia but worried it was too soon. If spotting had been from std ie when you have symptoms will you test positive. I have an appointment to retest on Tuesday. APRN said she did not see any visual evidence in her physical examination. Do you think I'm in the clear?

Welcome, but I have to say I don't know why you're here. You state your own reasons why you don't have gonorrhea. You are exactly right.
Oral gonorrhea is inherently uncommon; the chance your CSW partner had it it is low, probably under 1% probability. If she did, there was an unlikely chance you would have been infected; it's transmitted probably less than 10% of exposures. Third, absence of discharge and painful urination is around 95% assurance you were not infected (i.e. non-symptomatic urethral infection is rare). Fourth, urethral bleeding is rarely if ever caused by gonorreha. Finally, the current tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia are extremely accurate; your negative test results are reliable.
Yes, you are in the clear.
