[Question #9091] Need more advice

Hello doctors.
A little background, I had HPV four years ago and had a couple warts frozen off. Since then I have never had an occurrence. Life went on and I didn't disclose to hookups. BUT recently found someone more meaningful. So I get examined last month and doctor doesn't see anything.
Now I guess what I'm looking for is a peace of mind, other opinions than my own and all the stuff I read online.
Should HPV still be a concern in the back of my head? Or is this unnecessary?
Just want to be as safe as I can.

Welcome to our Forum. Thanks for your questions. I’ll be glad to comment.
After several years without a recurrence you have little to worry about regarding exposing your new partner to HPV. Further, unless she has been vaccinated, and assuming that you both have had other partners, it is likely that you’ve each had other HPV infections in the past.
Bottom line, you should not let your prior warts impact your interactions with your new partner.
I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to use your up to two follow ups for clarification. EWH

Thank you!
Now, I've read about clearance/suppression that it is about 2 years. As a professional do you think that something that is likely in my favor?

s I understand it, following your initial treatment you have not had a recurrence for two years. If that is the case, there is little chance that your warts will recur. On the other hand, unless you have been vaccinated, you remian at risk for acquiring different HPV strains. We routinely recommend HPV vaccination for persons who are not yet vaccinated. EWH---

We provide up to three responses to each client’s questions. This is my 3rd response and therefore this thread will be closed soon after this response without further responses.
With no recurrence of your warts for this period of time, not only would future recurrence be unlikely but you are unlikely to transmit warts to future partners.
I hope the information I have provided has been helpful. Take care. EWH
