[Question #9108] Hiv scare

Hello Drs, about 4.5 months ago I had protected oral and vaginal sex with CSW. She provided the condom and used it for both services. I was. Fairly drunk , but do believe the condom was intact afterwords, but I was fairly limp when I took it off. Question is I have tested at 15, 35, and 85 days using a 4th gen test all non reactive. I have also tested negative at 5 weeks with a full std panel?
Are these results conclusive for no hiv and other stds? Can I have unprotected sex with my partner again?
At 3 months I had armpit pain not swelling just pain that has lasted awhile and also a metallic taste in my mout hiv related?
Thank you for your time and what you guys do.

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your question. The exposure you describe was quite low risk. Most CSWs do not have HIV or STIs and even most unprotected exposures do not result in infection. In addition, you had the added benefit of a condom which did not fail (when condoms fail, they typically break wide open leaving no doubt that they have failed). In your case, your testing validates that you were not infected with either STIs or HIV. HIV tests taken any time for than 6 weeks after exposure are entirely conclusive. Similarly, your five week STI tests are likewise conclusive.
I see no scientific reason for continued abstinence from unprotected sexual contact with your regular partner.
As for the discomfort under your arm and the metallic taste you've noticed, these are not related to the encounter you describe. The timing is coincidental
I hope this information is helpful. Take care. EWH

No, there are no medications which would influence the results of your test results. Have confidence.
As you know, we provide up to three responses to each clients questions. This is my third response. Thus, this thread will be close shortly without further research responses.
Please don’t worry. EWH
