[Question #9119] Itchy bump on butt

I have a few small itchy bumps on my under leg, close to my butt. They are spread out and don’t seem to be blisters but I am worried. I have a pic but don’t know how to upload.

I did not shower for awhile after sex so I wonder if I am just reacting to poorly to that or if it’s eczema which I also struggle with. Does this sound like herpes? Red raised bump, looks like but bite, itches if I touch it and spread out.

Would also like to add there is a small red dot in the middle of the itchy bump. Which I read could be mosquito bites. I was wearing a dress the other night outside so I guess possible.

My boyfriend is checked every few months via blood tests for other medical reasons, but always gets std checked too. so he doesn’t seem to be worried but I am and am curious if what I describe sounds like herpes

It's very difficult to know what these bumps might be.  Are the bumps grouped, on a red base, blistery?  You said they are spread out and not blistered, so it doesn't sound like herpes to me from your description.
You could ask your boyfriend is his blood tests normally include herpes testing?  Have you been tested as well?
Sure wish I could help you with your question but the bumps could be anything from bites to acne to folliculitis, very difficult to say, so sorry

They don’t appear to be blistered. I don’t seem to have any swollen lymph nodes or other symptoms. And the bumps are actually spread out over both buttocks in random spots. Not clustered all together. Would herpes spread all over or remain focused in one spot?

usually herpes would  present in a group, rather than spread out.  Sounds to me like your sat in or near something that bit you or that you were sensitive to, rather than herpes.

What should I be on the lookout for? If it’s bug bites, I’d assume go away rather quickly and not progress. But what should I look for that would lead to assume could be herpes? Any other symptoms or progressions in the bumps?

If you notice the bumps making blisters or grouping together, that would be a concern and you should then have them swab tested for HSV. If they become very tender to the touch that would also be a concern.   If you cannot relax about this and feel like you need clearer answers, feel free to visit an urgent care clinic or go in to see your own provider for a visit.  There are limits to what we can do over the internet, unfortunately, but again, to me, this does not sound herpetic.
