Good day Doctors!
Sorry to be back again, i have finished my last PEP dose on July 11, and my last testing was in August 6, so 26 days after my last dose, and it came negative.
My question is, how reassuring was my last testing? I ask this because i wont be able to do a test for a certain time, and my anxiety got me again, because my swollen lymph nodes are not going away for more than 2 months, and 50 days after my last dose of pep, i got canker sores in my mouth, headache ( still have it, but it may be due to anxiety) and pain in my neck came back..
Thank you so much!

Welcome back, but I don't understand why you found it necessary. I reviewed your two previous threads. As discussed there, to be certain you do not have HIV, you need an AgAb (4th generation) HIV blood test 6 weeks or more after your last dose of PEP. However, your current test at 26 days, is very reassuring; the chance it will become positive after 6 weeks is near zero. I would estimate the chance you have HIV as under one chance in a billion or lower. We have also discussed that it is not possible to have symptoms from HIV and have a negative blood test; your negative results so far are 100% proof that your apparently enlarged lymph nodes are not caused by HIV; and neither canker sores nor headache suggest HIV in this situation.

Do your best to stop worrying, and continue your normal sex life with your wife. See a doctor about your symptoms if they continue or you remain concerned about them. They are not caused by HIV.

I do understand that is a really small chance,
but my girlfriend have also noticed something like a cyst in her vagina, and aswell not able to any testings at the moment, due to location where we are now.
I understand that its not a symptom that is connected with HIV, but can it be a sign of some other STI that was possibly transmitted by me? I did urethral swab, and there were no findings, hep b test( was required for work) and hiv test on 26 day post pep as i mentioned in previous message.
sorry for my bad english, and thank you for response, i do understand that my anxiety is taking over, i feel much better after your last message, and thank you for that!

A round bump or cyst near the vaginal opening can be infected, sometimes with gonorrhea or chlamydia. If so, the area usually is painful and sore to touch. If not, probably it is not infected. Looking back at your previous two threads, I don't see that you were tested for STIs other than HIV. If you were not, you should be tested now. If you were tested and the results were negative, you can be sure you were not infected and could not have infected your regular partner. If your partner's "cyst" persists, and especially if it is painful, he should be professionally examined, which might include STI testing. But most likely this is not an
STI problem.
That concludes this thread. Best wishes and stay safe.
