Welcome back to the Forum.  Dr. Handsfield and I share the Forum and on this occasion I happened to pick up your new question.  In preparing my answer I reviewed your earlier interaction with Dr. Handsfield and agree with all that he said.  What you describe above sounds like a new exposure but was very similar to the ones that you reviewed with Dr, Handsfield and the assessment he provided is relevant here- the activities you describe were no risk events, even of your partner had HIV or other STIs (most commercial sex workers do not have HIV or other STIs).    Your flu-like illness, including your night sweats and feverishness are most likely to be coincidental, nothing more.  If you wih to prove that the symptoms you are experiencing are not due to HIV, then arrange to get tested for infection with a 4th generation, combination HIV antigen/antibody test.  When it is negative, as I am confident it will be, this will prove that your symptoms are not due to HIV (When symptoms are present, HIV tests are always positive)

I hope this information is helpful  Please don't worry.  EWH

1.  Whether or not you test is up to you. I am confident you do not have HIV. If my insurance is sufficient, then you do not need a test. On the other hand if you want further proof a test can provide it

2.  Zero risk. Yes

Thank you doctor for your reply so what I understand is I don’t have risk of hiv at all and no need for test because it’s Zero Risk
And what i conclusion from your reply is my symptoms is not related because it’s zero risk right doctor ?

But doctor what do you think about the night sweats why i still have it without any other symptoms only night sweats and the room temperature is 19-20C what the reason ?

You are correct. Your risk for HIV is virtually zero and your symptoms are due to something else. Night sweats are nonspecific finding which have many potential causes of which HIV is only rarely one. Gastroesophageal reflux, other infections, and person-to-person variation are all part of the reasons for night sweats. Your night sweats are not due to HIV.

As you know, we provide up to three responses to each clients question. This is my third response. Therefore this thread will be close now. Take care. Please don’t worry about HIV from the encounter you’ve described. EWH
