[Question #9311] HSV 1 Question

Hello! Hope you are doing well and staying safe.
I have herpes type 1 and have recently entered a new relationship. Before this relationship my partner did not have HSV 1 or 2.
We have kissed many times and never passed it on orally however on our first sexual encounter, I have recently transmitted this virus to my partner genitally. We are not sure why it was not contracted orally after many lip to lip encounters but was passed on genitally on the first a counter.
Question: With a recent transmitted infection of genital herpes type 1 (contracted less than a month ago), is this partner now at risk for getting type 1 orally as well?
Thank you for providing this forum and for answering questions.
Best Regards,
Jessica

To clarify, I have oral HSV1 and passed it on to my partner genitally through oral sex.

If she has not been symptomatic for HSV 1 orally before now, I doubt that she will be in the future. Normally, if people are infected at both locations at the same time, both will be symptomatic at the first outbreak. I see way more people acquiring HSV 1 without accompanying oral HSV 1 at the same time than seeing both site be symptomatic.
