[Question #932] Herpes Transmission

I understand that a condom is the best safety practice to prevent the transmission of herpes.

My wife and I were involved in some foreplay and I slightly entered her vagina with my penis but I still had my Underpants on. I wear Under Armour boxers which have a double layer of material. There was no skin to skin contact. I have genital herpes and I found a tiny leasion the next day.

What are the risk of this transmitting to her even though I had on the double layer boxers and there was no skin to skin contact?

I think the chances are zero that you transmitted herpes to your wife under these circumstances.
Has your wife been tested to determine that she is actually uninfected with HSV already?

If the leasion was present during the interaction even though I didn't notice till the next day, you think we are still safe?
