Hello,
I reside in Ocala, FL and I am looking to a doctor who specializes in Genital Herpes. I have tried the medicine the doctor gives to limit the breakouts and that does not work for me at all. I really would like to find a doctor who specializes in this and I am willing to travel to any state.

I'm so sorry, but I don't know anyone in that area.  But let's try to talk it out a bit over the internet.  First, how were you diagnosed with herpes and how long ago?  Second, what medicine are you taking - how much and how often.  Third, when you say it isn't working for you, what are you experiencing?

Hello,
It's okay that you don't know of any doctors in my area but I am willing to travel to any state to see a doctor who specializes in herpes. So you can give me any doctors you may know and I can contact them. Also I use to take acyclovir for about 6 months but once I noticed it did not help and I continued to have breakouts quite frequently (I may be able to go 5 days out of the month without having a breakout) but the remainder of the month I have a breakout I stopped taking it. So now I am in search of a doctor who specializes in herpes to see if they can help me get this under control a little better.

There are several herpes specialists around the country.  Probably the closest one to you would be Dr. Steve Tyring in the Houston, Texas area.
How were you diagnosed with herpes?  And how much acyclovir did you take per day when you were taking it?
