I had done 43rd and 52nd day of HIV combo test. Both turned out to be negative. After that I did not have any new exposer.
This is the 10th week and I have developed pain while urinating and frequency of urination has increased. Do I have to test for HIV again ? As some websites suggests re testing after 3 months. Does this UTI be caused by HIV ? I’m hell scared now.

On 43rd day, along with HIV, all STIs test were done. All were negative. On 52nd day, syphillis test along with HIV were test, which were negative.

Welcome to our form and thanks for your question. I’ll be glad to come at. Your results at 43 and 52 days are both entirely conclusive and there is no need for additional testing for this work for other STI’s.  There is no association of urinary tract infections and HIV.  If You are having recurring urinary tract infections I recommend that you discussed this with your doctor to determine whether there is some predisposing factor or whether or not preventative treatment would be helpful.

I hope this answer is helpful to you. EWH

Thank you sir for the prompt reply.

I myself diagnosed it as UTI as I have experienced similar thing 4 years ago.

Can this be chlamydia or other STI and not urinary tract infection ? Because I have heard clamdiya causes similar symptoms as UTI.  I already tested for STI at 43rd day.

It would be unusual to develop symptoms of chlamydia or any other STI so long after an encounter and you have a negative test for chlamydia which I would encourage you to believe.  Further, frequent urination is not a sign of STI but can be a sign of urinary tract infection, kidney stones or prostatitis in men.  Rather than guessing what is going on, I would suggest you see your doctor and get an examination and urine test.  EWH---

Sir can I take HIV and all other STIs as conclusive post 43 days of exposure? Or do I need to re test for clamadiya and gonorrhoea again ?

We provide up to three responses to each client's questions.  This is my 3rd response.  Thus this thread will be closed shortly after this response without further replies.

HIV and other STIs are NOT a consideration here.  No further testing is needed. Your results are conclusive.  I recommend that you work with your doctor to look for other, non-STI causes of your symptoms.  EWH
