Hello, female,  in Europe, sexual exposure to guy i don't know in Feb 2020. I asked a question a while back. Here is a quick recap (with some adjustments)
May 2021: HIV antibody-only test result: negative.  The lab report also stated a high level of leukocytes, a high absolute neutrophil count, a high absolute thrombocyte count, a high level of CRP and higher levels than normal of MCV and MCH. Because of these high levels, my doctor asked if I was sick, I wasn't sick that I know of. I don't know if I had SARS-CoV-2 /covid 19, without or with very few symptoms, at the time I got tested for HIV, because i didn't get tested for SARS-CoV-2/covid-19 (no SARS-CoV-2 pcr test or SARS-CoV-2 antigen self test). At the time I wasn't vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2/covid-19. I don't know which SARS-CoV-2 variant was dominant at the time in my country.
May 23, 2022 (by this time I was vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2/covid-19 three times.) :HIV antibody-only test result: negative. I don't know if this was an ELISA test. 2 weeks before this HIV ab test I tested positive on a SARS-CoV-2 antigen selftest. I had symptoms. I don't know which SARS-CoV-2 variant it was, and I don't know which SARS-CoV-2 variant was dominant in my country at the time. By the time I went to the doctor for my HIV ab test I had almost no more symptoms. I took a SARS-CoV-2 antigen self test right before I went to the doctor for my HIV ab test, SARS-CoV-2 antigen selftest was negative. I didn't get tested with a SARS-CoV-2 pcr test. The lab report said that I had a high level of leukocytes, a high absolute neutrophil count and a high level of neutrophils in %, a high absolute thrombocyte count, a high level of CRP and a higher levels than normal of ferritin, MCH and MCV. I had a lower than normal level of monocytes in % and a normal absolute monocyte count. I had a low number of eGFR.
I wanted to make sure that nothing has changed.
 So my question:
1) is it 100% certain that i don't have hiv?

Welcome back to the forum and thank you for your continued confidence in our services.

Unfortunately, I really don't see how I can help very much. I carefully read your previous thread and I see no questions here that were not addressed at that time. My reply also included statements about the accuracy of the HIV AgAb (4th generation) blood tests (the highest accuracy that exists among all tests for any medical condition), that test results always overrule other considerations and symptoms or other lab findings, and that there are no medical conditions that alter the timing or reliability of the results. We also specifically discussed that COVID-19 or the vaccines against it have no effect on the timing or reliability of the blood tests.

And I see nothing in this question that raises new issues not discussed last time. In other words, no matter how high your risk of HIV might have been at the time of exposure, and regardless of your other test results, COVID, and COVID vaccinations, your negative tests prove 100% that you do not have HIV. I am happy to reaffirm that conclusion. Please let me know if anything isn't clear.

Hello again dr. Handsfield,

I wanted to give more of an explanation as to why i came back to the forum, but my post was already long enough. I am going on a trip, and i'm looking forward to it very much. It's in my nature i think, when i look forward to something, i start to worry at the same time and ruin my experience.. so i thought that coming back here would ease my mind again.

Just to make sure, because you talk about the hiv AgAb 4th generation test, my two hiv tests were hiv antibody-only tests. I know this for sure because i asked and because of says so on the lab report. Is your assessment of my situation still the same? Can i go and enjoy my trip knowing that i don't have hiv?

Thank you very much for your patience. I don't want to take too much of your time.
Have a nice Day/evening

Thanks for clarifying. As I believe we also discussed last time, the only difference between the AgAb and antibody-only tests is the time to conclusive results, 6 weeks versus 8 weeks. Beyond 8 weeks, the results are equally reliable. Please beleve it and stop worrying about HIV.---

Looking back at your previous thread, I don't see that I specified that 6 versus 8 weeks is the only difference between the two kinds of test. But the main thing is that your antibody tests are completely reliable. Anyway, I hope you are able to look forward to your future with confidence you do not have HIV!---
