[Question #9424] Syphilis | Hand Job

Dear Doctor,
In many earlier posts it has been clarified that hand job / hand-genital contact is no risk activity for any STIs. Just in case the person doing the hand job is suffering from  secondary syphilis , stage where the symptoms are rashes/sores on palms of hands, does this put the receiver exposed to syphilis or other STIs like HPV or those which spread skin to skin.
I am also left wondering in such scenario of secondary syphilis can  barbers/ saloon workers or any skin to skin contact activity can put someone to risk?

I'm sorry you felt the need to return to the forum.

That hand-genital contact is no risk for any STI applies to all STIs of any stage, including syphilis. The skin rash of secondary syphilis, on the hands or anywhere else, has no risk of transmssion of the infection. And nobody ever gets any STI from personal cosmetic services like haircuts.

They call certain infections sexualy transmitted for good reason:  that's the only way they are transmitted, with almost no exceptions.

I hope these comments are helpful.

Thanks Doctor, you are the best and your responses are very assuring. its a repetitive query to elaborate on the incidence ; just that the female giving the massage spent 10 odd minutes masturbating the penis  and kept masturbating ever after the release (semen out) until the next /second release. Is it a point to worry?  Also does anything change in terms of risk with oil or without massage oil though she used the oil mostly.

Just wanted to add another point to my last one - combining both here:

Thanks Doctor, you are the best and your responses are very assuring. its a repetitive query to elaborate on the incidence ; just that the female giving the massage spent 10 odd minutes masturbating the penis  and kept masturbating even after the release (semen out) until the next /second release.
1) Is it a point to worry?
2)  Also does anything change in terms of risk with oil or without massage oil though she used the oil mostly.
3) thinking loud in case she had some cuts/bruises on her fingers?

I am sorry to bother you with these but were just troubling my thoughts . I hope all these does not change the original position of not  risky behavior for any STIs including syphilis.
thanks again,

The duration of contact by your massage partner makes no difference, even if she had cuts on her fingers. This information does not change my assessment of your situatio or my advice. You can move on with no further worry about this or other similar contacts in the future.---

Thanks Doctor.

Please help me conclude this for past and future , will try hard not to bother you on this again. Please confirm to all the following please:

This is based on past threads and as picked from responses to the queries in the forum.

  1. Hand-Genital Massage & Body to Body Massage except (genital to genital, genital to oral,  oral to oral) carries no risk of any STIs
  2. Fingering ( Anal / Vaginal) (receiving or giving) carries no risk of any STIs
  3. Sucking nipples/boobs is no risk event
  4. Use of oil or dry massage does not change the risks/no-risks for the above points

Thanks for your understating and support.

Warm Regards.

1. Somewhat confusing statement, but I think you mean no risk for hand-genital or body-to-body contact (correct). Kissing (oral-oral) also is no risk.

2, 3 and 4 are correct.

That concludes this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Stay safe. (But no more questions along these lines, OK?)
