To put it simply, I (late twenties male)had an encounter of unprotected oral and protected vaginal sex CSW on nov 23 of 2021.Nov 27th noticed pain while urinating, i've had small kidney stones and didn't notice discharge so I ignored it.29th i noticed clear discharge then the next morning, light yellow when squeezed. Immediately went in urgent care and got put on 7 days of doxy and one cefriaxone shot just incase it was an STI which they tested for same day before the shot and doxy. Tested negative urine sample for gono and chlamydia. By dec 3rd there was no more pain or discharge. Through December general soreness in the very tip of my glans is noticeable that eased up or went away when i wasn't sitting. Also developed a rash in the folds of my thighs which was visually diagnosed as fungal and treated as such. Since that point until now i've continually had red scrotum skin that peaks and valleys in size but never fully goes away while using nicatin. My glans around my urethra is red as well as a separate red spot on the side of the glans that has not gone away since after the antibiotics. There has been a 2/10 discomfort more like a feeling of needing to urinate in the tip of my glans for months that seems to come and go. My main question is knowing the test i've done should I continue searching for STI type issues or focus on talking with doctors about other issues. Currently waiting on a dermatologist consult but did visit a urologist in January who honestly said he had no clue outside of the fungal looking rash which was and still is being treated and possible prostatitis.
Here are the test i've done all through labcorp, both had the same results and first was Jan 18th and the second June 20th:
Urinalysis with no flags
Negative trich, gono and chlymedia by NAA
Negative ureaplasma and mycoplasma homo
Negative HCV Ab
Negative HSV 1 and 2 IGG
Negative T Palladium Ab
Negative HIV Ab/p24Ag
Negative HBsAg screen

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment.  Thanks as well for your detailed description of your exposures and symptoms, as well as you test results.  My sense, like that of your urologist who has had the opportunity to examine you s that your current symptoms are NOT due to an STI.  Your negative tests are strong evidence that you are not infected and your very detail descriptions do not suggest STI.  Typically the symptoms of STIs are continuous or increase, rather than intermittent in the nature that you describe.

The rash on your thighs sounds much like a fungal infection and the redness at the tip of your penis may be the same.  On occasion routine anti-fungal therapies may not cure these processes.  The forthcoming evaluation by your dermatologist will be helpful.

Bottom line, nothing you describe suggests an STI nor any need for further testing.  I would work to move forward.  Input from your dermatologist may be helpful but is she/he does not have a diagnosis, my advice would be to do your best not to focus on the symptoms that you have perceived.  I certainly see no reason for concern in terms of STIs, nor any reason for further STI testing.

I hope this perspective is helpful.  EWH
