Last time I had sex was in February 2021. Last week in a two day span I masturbated around 12 times. The day after my scrotum was burning , and then the next day I felt 2 bumps on my frenulum. They were red, no discharge and the only way I knew they were there was because I masturbating and it stung when I came. I went to my doctor and he looked at it and gave me some cream. He said it looked traumatic. I’ve looked up herpes and the lesions I have look nothing like what I see online. I consulted a urologist online and he told me they don’t look like warts but they are raised. I got curious and one doctor friend of mine said 90% it can be traumatic and 10% herpes. I don’t have a fever and the lesions have no pain. Could all this be because of the masturbation

I think this could certainly be all about frequent masturbation, yes. If your doctor didn't think it looked like herpes, that's a good thing. Was any swab testing done of the area? If you've not had sex for almost two years, and had herpes, I would suspect that you would have had outbreaks on the penis between then and now, even without trauma. Have you ever had any herpes testing done that you know about?

No I’ve never had a herpes test. I went to the doctor for a second evaluation and the doctor said the lesions do not look anything like herpes. I’m uncircumcised so if I have to be honest after masturbation I really didn’t clean myself up I get a dirty sock and cleaned myself off. I looked online how herpes lesions look and it doesn’t look like what I have. I kept masturbating even after the lesions and I think I aggravated it even more. Doctor did say it looks infected and gave me doxycycline. I consulted an online doctor and he said it is trauma/irritation. i got a second opinion and the other doctor said abrasion caused by masturbation. I am a hypochondriac so i need validation. 4 doctors have seen my lesions (2 family MD and 2 Urologist) and all 4 said it's not suggestive of herpes lesions. it's only 2 lesions. one is a red sit and one is an open wound. It does not hurt, itch or anything. is it a coincidence I got it after masturbating 12 times in two days.

It does sound like you caused your penis quite a bit of trauma between the frequent masturbation in two days and contact with a dirty sock. I think you should trust the opinions of the people who have actually seen the situation rather than just discussing it on the internet. This does not sound like herpes to me.

I think you are right. And if I haven’t had sex in 2 years if I had herpes I would have had an outbreak between that time. What I do get a lot is balanitis. It’s just that I got worried when you see something foreign on your body. And you are right to stop looking on the Internet. I mean 2 in person MD said I’m okay and 4 urologist said it just look like inflammation from masturbation. Only one physician (online) said it could be 80% trauma and 20% herpes. He said because if the location (frenulum string) it’s mostly likely trauma. Either way thank you for all that you do. Your book and extensive research
