Hello Doctor, Happy New Year firstly.
I had a encounter in Dec 2021 with a csw, and the condom tore during vaginal sex. 33 days later, i did a 4th gen test and the result was negative.

On the 8th of August 2021, i went to a massage parlour where a transexual csw performed brief unprotected oral on me after which i asked her to use a condom. During the session, no penetrative sex took place, she did however rub her genitals around my genital area. On the 8th of Sept 2021 i did another 4th gen test, approximately 8 months after the condom tear incident and 28 days after the massage parlour one and the result was negative.

I have my visa medical coming up and thats gotten be a bit worried as i have been feeling under the weather and not to mention that i have had covid twice in 2021.

Question:
1. Are my tests conclusively negative indicating that I am not infected with HIV?
2.Does Covid affect the result of a test as after the first test in Jan-21 I tested postive 3 days later for Covid
3.I am planning on getting another test done elsewhere as I am getting very anxious as the medical tests for HIV and if positive you are deported. Is there any chance of it turning positive now?

Welcome to our Forum and thanks for your questions.  I will be glad to comment.  Since your condom breakage, none of the exposures you describe put you at risk for HIV.  No one has ever acquired HIV from receipt or oral sex or having someone rub their genitals on an uninfected partner without penetration.  Your September 8 test proves that you were not infected at your December 2021 encounter and, although no testing was necessary for the September encounter, provides 99% proof that infection did not occur.

I am confident you did not get HIV from the exposures you describe.  you can be confident that your medical tests will show that you were not infected.

Thus, in response to your specific questions:
1. Are my tests conclusively negative indicating that I am not infected with HIV?
Yes

2.Does Covid affect the result of a test as after the first test in Jan-21 I tested postive 3 days later for Covid
COVID 19 does not affect the results of HIV testing in any way.  you can be confident in your test results.

3.I am planning on getting another test done elsewhere as I am getting very anxious as the medical tests for HIV and if positive you are deported. Is there any chance of it turning positive now?
No.  You can be confident that your tests will be negative.

I hope this information is helpful.  EWH
