[Question #9533] HSV 1/2 Question - oral sex/genital rubbing

Hello,
I am a male. I recently was on vacation for almost two weeks. During that time, I had sex with a condom once. I received unprotected oral sex every day. Also, at times during foreplay, my unprotected penis was rubbing against her unprotected, vagina while she was on top of me, and her fluids were on my penis. More specifically, she once grabbed my penis and used it to rub her clitoris. Not vigorously, but a pretty consistent rubbing for about maybe 1 min off and on.
This happened toward the beginning of my vacation. So, it would be around two weeks ago now.
Today, I noticed a shiny white dot on my frenelum with accompanied irritation. Kind of like a prickly feeling. It doesn’t appear very red at all, maybe slightly. More shiny and white.
Given my exposure, and if this is anything to worry about at all. What is more likely to be the cause of the lesion? HSV 1 from the unprotected oral? Or HSV 2 from the genital rubbing?
Just want to access the risk of my exposures. Also, what I should be on the lookout for if it is anything to worry about.
Thank you.

The situation you describe could be a risk for acquiring herpes - it sounds like there was direct contact between your penis and her genitals.
I would suggest that you have the white spot evaluated soon. It's so difficult for me to know what that might be on the internet - is it an ulceration? That would concern me. If the skin is not broken at all, that concerns me far less.
The risk is probably about the same for both, assuming for a moment that she has genital HSV 2 and oral HSV 1. But neither may be the case, right?
Also, having herpes show up 2 weeks later would be on the long side for the presentation of lesions. Normally, we see symptoms between 2 and 10 days, and the average time for the presentation of a lesion is 5.5 days. So that's on your side, for sure.

I appreciate the insight.
The skin isn’t broken. More of a white spot on the skin. The irritation isn’t directly on the spot either. More in the general area. I’m going to keep an eye on it for another week or so and access from there.
I’m not super concerned about it. But the timing of when I noticed it was more of why I inquired about the possibility of it being HSV 1/2.
Thanks for your help!

You are most welcome. It really doesn't sound like herpes to me, given the additional information that you provided

Just wanted to update this post in case someone is going through something similar.
I ended up going to my dermatologist and he did a shave biopsy on the lesion. It turned out to be lichenoid keratosis. It is a benign lesion and he told me no further treatment was needed.
