[Question #9640] Any risk at all ?

I am a male in a monogamous relationship . No previous concerns about any STI. Recently went to a massage parlour in UK and was offered a " intimate body to body " massage by a chinese lady . While the female masseur was sliding on top of me naked , the masseur's private area was touching against mine and for a very brief time , maybe 10 seconds I had the feeling that the tip of my penis might have been in contact with the outer part of her vagina- not sure if this can be called a partial penetration. I immediately stopped her and made sure there was no further penetration. Any risk arising from these ? Any testing needed? Many thanks

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your confidence in our services.
We get many questions describing exposures like yours. Our replies are consistent. Direct genital contact (penis to labia or vaginal opening) without penetration in theory risks an STD transmitted primarily by skin to skin contact (HPV, syphilis, herpes), but probably extremely rarely. Fluid-transmitted infections (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV) are even rarer. In my 50 years in the STD business, I have never seen or heard of any patient with any STD after such contact. That doesn't mean it can't happen, but obviously it's very rare.
If somehow I were in your situation, I would not feel a need for testing for anything, and I would continue unprotected sex with my wife without fear of transmitting anything to her. That said, some people remain anxious regardless of the most robust expert professional opinion and will sleep better after being tested with negative results. You're the only one who can decide if this applies to you. If so, you can have a valid urine gonorrhea/chlamydia test in 3-4 days, and syphilis and HIV blood tests at 6 weeks. (There is no test for HPV in this situation, and the herpes blood tests are not sufficiently accurate to be useful in this situation, with risks of both false negative and false positive results.)
But truly, your risk is nil for all practical purposes. I wouldn't worry about it.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks for the reply which is reassuring . So the partial penetration / possibly brief entry of tip of my penis into the vagina for 10-15 seconds or so doesn't change the risk substantially?

I can't say this was zero risk, but such brief penetration barely raises the STD risk, if at all.---

Thanks for clarification. I am reassured and am not considering any STI testing , will move on . Many thanks !

Good show. Thanks for the thanks!
That completes the two follow-up exchanges included with each question and so ends this thread. I'm glad to have been of help.
