[Question #9677] Possibility of HIV at nail salon

Dear Sir 
Please don’t consider me anxious based on my previous questions. 

Recently I went to a nail salon to do pedicure. While doing, I got a minor scarp through a cuticle nipper. I felt it was not sterilised. However, there was 5 min gap after which the techno started my pedicure. 
Are there any chances of catching hiv through unsterilised cutter nipper? I read several articles about the chances and I’m very much worried. Do I need to go for testing ?

This is a nonsensical question.  As Dr. Handsfield said to you "These situations simply reflect your very abnormal and irrational fears about HIV. There is no possibility of HIV transmission from any of these events. If you do not have sex or share drug injection equipment with other persons, you will never be at risk for HIV."

No one has ever been infected with HIV in the manner you suggest.  No testing is needed.  End of response.  EWH
