[Question #9695] Friction burn?

Hello,

On Friday, February 17th, I had sex with my partner and right after I noticed redness that wasn’t there before. It was under the head of the penis. Sex happened a few more times and then the next evening we had more sex. Each time I felt this redness get worse and eventually it created a cut and a friction like burn on the underside of the penis head/shaft.

This has happened before a few months ago, but it was much worse (a bigger piece of skin tore off). The very next morning I went to get that swabbed for HSV. That test came back negative. I must note that the most recent sex stated above was fairly rough and lasted a while each time.

Could this simply be from friction or lack of lubrication? Or is this something I should be concerned about?

This could certainly be an abrasion from having lots of sex and.or not a lot of lubrication.  If you had a very similar symptom swab tested previously and it was negative for herpes, that'a  great thing, actually.  I would say that if this happens again, unprovoked by lots of sex, you should once again have it swab tested, but perhaps this time is not required.
