[Question #9832] concerned abt being stupid

I am in Mumbai India. Traveling on a trip and was lonely 2 days back. I looked up only for an escort service and was looking for something not cheap per say.
I was send a female who from the appearance did not come across as high end and I was very drunk to realize I have possibly sent someone who is perhaps a cheap escort.
I was drinking, got her in my room. I have protected vaginal sex for like less than 5-6 mins. Rest of the time was me receiving unprotected oral sex and also for some time she went down oral on anal. The part is I the receiver of it and oral was unprotected. Then she offered to call her friend who came and performed unprotected oral on me as well, with her not vaginal intercourse was involved.
Its just been 2 days but definitely freaked out. The unprotected oral part was a stupid mistake. I dont have any symptoms apart from a sore throat from smoking and drinking, but then again it is too early.
I am concerned if I may end up getting a high risk HPV like bowens (?).
I definitely plan to test but what are my odds of being infected with HPV or any STDs including HIV in general.
Pretty freaked out at the moment.

Welcome back to the Forum. On this occasion you have used a new user name so I cannot review your prior questions and do not know if they were related to HPV of not. Irrespective, I'll provide some information.
First, other STIs. While your partners were commercial sex workers, your risk for STIs is relatively low. HIV has never been shown to be acquired through receipt of oral sex and compared to other unprotected exposures, your risk of other common STIs such as gonorrhea (the STI most commonly acquired from receipt of oral sex), chlamydia and syphilis is, across the board, low. Most CSWs do not have STIs and when they do rates of oral STIs are lower than STIs at other sites of sexual exposure. Further, most single exposures to infected partners does not result in transmission of infection. The only STI I would be concerns about is gonorrhea and well over 90% of persons who acquire gonorrhea develop symptoms within 3-4 days of exposure. If you do not develop symptoms of a penile infection, I would not worry. If you wish to be absolutely sure, a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia will be reassuring.
As far as HPV is concern, we have much to learn about HPV. We do know that rates of HPV are far lower in the throat than at genital sites and that while they occur, they rarely seem to cause complications. Most HPV infection (>96%) resolve on their own with no consequence. For reason that are unclear, HPV does not infect the oral cavity well. Finally, there are no reliable tests for oral HPV. Putting this information together, my sincere advice is not to worry about having acquired HPV from the exposures you describe.
I hope this perspective is helpful. EWH

Thanks Dr. Hook. It is amazing how immediately at peace, the reply makes me feel. While I dont have any symptoms, I will go ahead and test myself for gonorrhea once am back in california next week.

Other than gonorrhea, you dont recommend any more tests correct?

The tests for gonorrhea typically also include tests for chlamydia. While the risk is very low, chlamydial is very rarely transmitted through oral sex. Since current tests test for both STIs at the same time (typically with a urine test) there is no reason not to test for both. Personally I would not worry about other STIs in this situation. EWH---

Thanks Dr. Hook. Will get tested for both gonorrhea and chlamydia in about a week from now. No symptoms yet for me, so I am assuming nothing really was acquired but tests should help with an additional reassurance.
