[Question #9848] Poop on finger no penetration

Hello doctors,
I'm sorry to be back again but my mind is reeling from a mistake I made yesterday.
I fell asleep in my car in a sketchy Home Depot parking lot yesterday morning and my car was unlocked. During this time, I had a brief 2 minute sex dream which included me getting fingered once without penetration.
Although I enjoyed the dream, when I woke up, I started going through all the possibilities of being sexually assaulted by someone in the parking lot.
I know it's very unlikely, but my door was unlocked with no signs of entry, and I was sleeping in a way where my butt was facing the door. In other words, if there was a pervert nearby, he could have easily opened the door and stuck his finger down my pants and fingered my anus.
The dream felt incredibly real, but I have experienced this same fingering sensation in the comfort of my own home, so I'm not too shaken up by the possibility of it just being a dream.
However, here is my question. If I were actually sexually assaulted, and they had stuck their finger in my anus while they had their own feces on their finger, would I be at risk of any STDs?
I am doing my best to put this behind me and to just discount it as a dream, but my anxiety is causing me to ask you this question today.
Thank you so much for your help.

I must include that I didn't feel any soreness or pain in my anus, and when testing the sensation myself, it was very obvious that if I were actually penetrated with a finger, the pain would have been very obvious, leading me to believe that it was only a dream and I wasn't touched or penetrated whatsoever. Thank you.

Additionally, my pants wouldn't have been able to be pulled down due to it being tightened with a belt, so I'm not concerned with any anal to penile contact.

Welcome back. Unfortunately, you're not asking an STD/HIV question, but one of mental health. You have concluded on your own that nobody had any sort of personal contact with you, let alone sexual contact. And what sort of thinking conjures up the idea that someone has feces on their finger when anally fingering someone else? And if we accept the one in a billion chance that something like that might have happened, there would have been no risk for HIV or any other STI, whether or not feces was involved. I believe I recall that the absence of risk from such events was discussed in one or both of your previous threads.
I support your own conclusion that there is no STI/HIV risk. You should not be tested.
In one of your earlier threads, you said you are in therapy for your germophobia/OCD. It sounds to me like you're (over?) due for another session with your therapist.
Good luck. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thank you so much for your reply doctor. You're absolutely right. I am still struggling with OCD and intrusive thoughts. I've been skipping school as a result of these thoughts compounded with social anxiety. I think feeling out of control in my life and it has manifested in a way where I feel like somebody is out to ruin it for me. I'll do my best to seek help. Thank you again for your help.

Hello doctor,
Just wanted to ask another question since I am still struggling to come to terms with reality.
Even if there was infected sperm or feces on my anus for an entire day, that wouldn't increase my risk of contracting a disease whatsoever?
I didn't wash my anus until the next day, which basically means that if I were assaulted, their sperm and feces would have stayed on my anus for a full 24 hours.
My apologies for the anxious question. I just need more clarity on the risk in the worst case scenario.
Thank you so much.

I'll only say that no, these things would not be likely to give you any STD. Beyond that, this forum will not play this sort of game with you. There will be no discussion about risk from events that never occurred and not would be possible without your knowledge. You'll need to find some other source for "more clarity on the risk in the worst case scenario". Your therapist (if you really have one) would be a good option.---

Sorry for the trouble, doctor. I'm just having a hard time shaking this feeling and it's likely due to a lot of stress. I'm afraid of hurting those around me with my negligence if I were actually infected so I hope you understand that. In no way am I trying to play a game, I just want to gain as much clarity as possible. Last night, I tested my theory of being assaulted by wearing the exact same brand of pants with a belt and it was nearly impossible to replicate the feeling that I had in my dream. Therefore, it is pretty much 100% likely that it was a dream since I only felt the sensation once and it was during a dream that I woke up from rather quickly and peacefully.
I have no idea why I am taking freaking out so much over something this trivial, so I guess my anxieties have gotten the best of me. It all still feels so real, like I've caught a disease and that I'll get everybody in my household sick from my carelessness. I hope you can empathize. Thank you again for your advice, I'll do my best to move forward from this.

I'm sorry you're "having a hard time shaking this feeling", but that's not something the forum can help with. All we can do is provide scientific facts and our professional judgment, but unfortunately factual understanding never resolves such an obsession. No matter what I say, you will come up with "what if", "yes but", or "could I be the exception" sorts of questions. You need professional help with these issues. Please no more similar questions on the forum. Thanks for your understanding and best wishes to you.
