Good afternoon

On March 28 and 29th I received rough oral unprotected  sex from 2 different high end  escorts  nothing else.  11 days later I had sex with my wife (read on medhelp that if no symptoms I will be ok)

3 days later I developed painful urination I did jerk off  the day before with lotion. I waited to see if it would go away after a couple days and it did not.I also have had no discharge what so ever. I went to urgent care yesterday Doc did UTI test negative and gave me a shot and some meds to take for a week.  She said I have a 5% chance it could be an STD and ran test

What are my chances of STD with no discharge and just burning .
What are the odds of my wife catching anything. She was taking a Zpack a couple days before

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment.  The most common STIs acquired from receipt of oral sex is gonorrhea which presents with a penile discharge in 90-95% of infected persons, typically within 3-5 days following exposure.  Chlamydia is very, very rare from receipt of oral sex.  The onset of your symptoms almost two weeks following your exposure as well as the fact that you experienced pain without a discharge is atypical for most STIs.  On rare occasions herpes can present with only urethral pain but the symptoms of herpes always occur in less than 10 days after exposure.  While the most likely culprit causing your discomfort was your recent masturbation, your doctor did not do any favors by not testing you for STIs.  I would put the odds that your symptoms were due to an STI as in the neighborhood of 1% or less but it would have been nice to have the negative test results to be sure.

The fact that your wife was taking a Z-pak further reduces the likelihood that she would catch an STI, if you did have one.

Sorry I can't be more definitive.  I hope this perspective is helpful   I would not worry.  EWH

Good morning
She did run a urine STD test.  Also the incident happened in Spain with two Brazilian  girls under 24 years old. I asked if they were clean and  they say they get tested frequently and are clean.
One more thing the pain is only in the morning start in the middle of the penis. It has been 48 hrs since I had the shot for any std and my symptoms persist still no discharge.  She also said I can resume sex with my wife 3 days later.  Would this be correct.  I feel much better knowing I have less the 1% chance of having an std .  What would you do in my situation.

Also the pain while peeing is only in the morning and goes away after.  I read that std do not come and go would this assumption be correct would it hurt every time I pee
Thanks again for you insite

Thanks for the additional information.  Much of what you have told me, including the lack of response to medication, that the pain is present only in the morning and the location of the discomfort at midshaft all strongly suggest that this is not an STI.  If this were an STI the discomfort would be present throughout the day.  Is is getting better?  My guess is that this is somehow related to your masturbation shortly before the discomfort began rather than any infection of any sort.  I anticipate that your tests will show that no infection is present.

I would not worry about unprotected sex with your regular partner.

If the discomfort persists without improvement, I'd see a urologist.  If it is improving, I'd probably just wait it out.  EWH

Thank you again for your response as It has  calmed my nerves a lot.

One last thing about the burning. Like I said before the burning is mostly in the morning and goes away during the day.  Sometimes at night it manifest after laying in bed and then going to the bathroom. If I had an STD it would be painful throughout the day and feel the same?  Would it get worse over time?

As far as the pain/ burning sometimes it continues to the top of my head.

Thank you for the service you provide. I wish more doctors would have this type of site for other medical needs.

A you know, we provide up to three responses to each clients questions. This is my 3rd response.  Thus, shortly after this response is posted, the thread will be closed without further responses.

Indeed, the discomfort of STIs tends to persist throughout the day, not get better.  As for lying in bed, it is not uncommon to experience sensations more intensely when lying in bed, often in the dark.  In such settings, there are fewer of the daily distractions which tend to make sensations less noticeable.  This may also explain why on some occasions it extends to the head of your penis.
