[Question #9926] Testing conclusive?

Hi docs
This question relates to a previous question. I’m feeling rather flu like right now and also anxious about whether my results were conclusive or not. I’m pretty sure I know the answer here having read your replies to my last question and indeed answers others, but would like to hear it from the horse’s mouth so to speak.
Given the window periods below can I consider my results conclusive? My mind is playing all sorts of what if anxious games with me right now and when I read your responses to others with similar situations e.g. testing with 2 different testing methodologies being conclusive i then tell myself it’s probably different in my case. Or that some conservative sourc won the internet says syphillis period is 90 days.
Grateful for your insights as always.
Recap:
Day 0 - Unprotected anal - receptive partner
Day 0 - PEP started
Day 7 - PEP ceased
Day 37 - negative HIV 1&2 Abs/P24 Ag screen
Day 41 - negative Syphilis IgG/IgM by EIA, negative HIV 1/2 by PCR. HBV & HCV PCR negative

Welcome back, but sorry you found it necessary. I was online when your question arrived: most users should not expect nearly real time replies.

Management in this situation really should be with one's in-person health care provider. However, my judgment is that there is no possibility you have HIV, syphilis or viral hepatitis. "Flu like" is overrated as a symptom of HIV: without 3 out of four among sore throat, skin rash, lymph node enlargements, and fever, HIV is exceedingly unlikely. More important the negative HIV test results prove HIV is not a possible cause of your symptoms. (It isn't HIV itself that causes symptoms, but the immune response to the virus -- as indicated by antibody. Nobody can have HIV symptoms without detectable antibody to HIV.) Syphilis and hepatitis B and C also are ruled out by these test results.
Ideally confirm with your own doctor or clinic, but from all you say, all is well and I see no need for worry.
Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thanks Dr H, appreciate the super rapid response!
I’d been going down a rabbit hole of my duo test being too soon (<6 weeks) and questioning its validity. does the combination of it and the PCR test mitigate such concerns?
Many thanks

Yes, the combination of those negative results is conclusive.---
