Anticipating the specifics of your questions, I will state that masturbation, including mutual masturbation in which partners get each others' genital secretions on one another is considered no risk for HIV and the most common STIs such as gonorrhea, chlamydial, trichomonas, etc. There is sometimes a theoretical risk for other STIs characterized by the presence of lesions such as syphilis, herpes and HPV. The U.S. CDC and WHO are in agreement with the general statements above. The presence of curse, scrapes, recent shaving, etc. do not change these generalizations. If there are more specific questions, the more detail provided the better I can answer them. EWH---

Thank you Dr for the quick answer! I work in a restaurant. 1: I masturbated without washing my hands. 2: If I inadvertently get HIV blood on my hands and then masturbate, will I be at risk of HIV infection? 3: I used hand sanitizer to clean my penis after masturbating and it didn't show any pain or bleeding! 4: Does this exposure require HIV testing? I don't have any symptoms, I'm just worried!

I believe I have largely answered these questions. To provide specific answers:
1: I masturbated without washing my hands.
This does not pose a risk for HIV or any STI.
2: If I inadvertently get HIV blood on my hands and then masturbate, will I be at risk of HIV infection?
No. Contamination of your hands with blood or genital secretions does not pose a risk for HIV.
3: I used hand sanitizer to clean my penis after masturbating and it didn't show any pain or bleeding!
Please don't use hand sanitizer in this way. It is not needed and can be irritating to your skin.
4: Does this exposure require HIV testing?
No need for concern, no need for testing.

Thank you very much for your reply! I still have some questions: 1: Why masturbating with HIV-contaminated hands won't cause HIV infection? 2: I have inquired about a record. Even if there is no wound, there is a possibility of infection, because Langerhans cells are distributed in the glans of the penis, which have the function of exchanging body fluids. Is this a risk for my masturbation behavior?

We provide up to three responses to each client's questions. This will be my final response and the thread will be closed shortly after this response.
1: Why masturbating with HIV-contaminated hands won't cause HIV infection?
See my earlier comments. Genital secretions transferred on a person's hands do not cause infection. Further, the experience of millions and millions of persons is that even when persons get each others' genital secretions on one another, this does not lead to infection.
2: I have inquired about a record. Even if there is no wound, there is a possibility of infection, because Langerhans cells are distributed in the glans of the penis, which have the function of exchanging body fluids. Is this a risk for my masturbation behavior?
No
You need to put these concerns aside. Further, your questions suggest you have been searching the internet for answers. I urge you not to do this as much of what is there is incorrect and there is no way to tell what is correct and what is not.
Masturbation does not lead to STIs. EWH
