43y male..Protected intercourse with a female dancer at an upscale establishment. Lasted about 10 minutes. Condom stayed intact. Horrible decision and I regret it highly. This took place in Texas. I'm married and worried about transmission of anything to my wife. This was an awful choice and learning my lesson now. Trying to get a plan of what I need to do..should I go through any rigorous testing before being intimate with my wife. Thanks a ton for your services

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your confidence in our service. I'll be glad to comment. This was a very low risk encounter. I say this for several reasons listed below:
1. Most commercial sex workers do not have STIs.
2. Even when exposed to an infected partner, most single exposures do not lead to infection
3. You used a condom. Condoms are highly protective against STIs, including HIV, reducing your risk for infection to virtually zero as long as the condom was worn throughout the interaction and remained intact. Since your condom appears to be intact, it almost certainly was- when condoms fail, they break wide open leading no doubt that they have failed.
Testing is a personal choice. Should you chose to test for the additional assurance it might provide testing for the most common STIs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas) can be performed with a urine test any time more than 4-5 days after an encounter with confidence that the results are conclusive. Testing for much less common STIs such as syphilis or HIV requires a blood test and would not be conclusive until at least 6 weeks following the exposure. Should you choose to test, I anticipate that your tests will verify that you were not infected.
Personally, I would not feel the need to abstain from sex with your wife pending testing but, as I said, this is a personal decision. I hope the information I have provided is helpful. EWH

Thanks for the very prompt reply. I've been reviewing posts on this forum for the last day or so..I will def take your advice and stop my worry about the very low risk encounter..hpv on the other hand seems a bit more complicated...any advice or info on what my possible risk of this is and should I be concerned about possible transmissions...

Actually, HPV is not all that complicated. At least 80% of sexually active adults have or have had it. It is virtually impossible to determine how long someone with the infection has had it (although some mistakenly think otherwise). Condoms reduce your risk for any new infections as well. HPV is a non-issue. Presuming that your wife has regular Gyn check-ups as recommended, these would detect any HPV related problems should they occur ( a process which takes years or even decades to become apparent).
I would not worry about HPV in the least. EWH
