Dear doctors please look into my question I have FULLY surveyed your forum to move forward and my doctor has also suggested to move on
Before I tell you my concerns dr hunter /hook
1) the ONLY way a persons gets infected with hiv hepatitis b or hepatitis c or stds or blood borne infections is from Unprotected sex or Sharing drug injection equipment
and by drug injection equipennt we mean hollow needle with syringes to inject yourself by inserting hollow needle into my vein and pushing plunger of the syringe THERE
ARE NO OTHE WAYS we get these viruses
Therefore below questions you see are not a risk for hiv or hepatitis b or hepatitis c or stds
2) my hospital re uses the lancing device NOT THE lancet
The lanceing device also known as lancet device is like pen like shape in which you install the lancet by removing the cap of the lancet device and install a new lancet
The same lancet device is used different patients . My concern is was that my lancet could have wet or dry blood or body fluid by touching any blood in the lancing device most probably by the cap of lancet device .
This is not a risk for hiv or hepatitis b or hepatitis c or stds or blood borne infections
because we only get these viruses from sex or drug injection equipment (hollow needle with syringe only )

2b)my hospital re uses the lancing device on multiple patients and my doctor it’s normal to do that and I cannot get infected
with hiv or hepatitis c or hepatitis b or stds or any blood infections
2c)my doctor says no one get hiv hepatitis b or hepatitis c or blood borne infections from SHARP OBJECTS Contaminated with wet blood or body fluids Such as lancets Or any other sharp object (glass, tailor pin ) whether a person immediately cut himself with a sharp object and then I immediately got cut by it that caused bleeding
Because as mentioned in point 1 we arnt having sex or sharing drug injection equipment (hollow needle with syringe )

For question number 2 that’s the link please see the link
I believe the lancing device is the correct term for it . This may not be the exact lancing device used on me but they are all the same
But it doesn’t matter my doctor says move on for reasons discussed in point 1

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question. In the future -- and this message also is for future forum users -- please note that the reason for the character/word limit in the question window is to require all information to be provided there. Initial questions should not spill over into follow-up window.
Most of your "question" is asking for confirmation of what you have already learned by reading the forum, from your own doctor, and perhaps other research.
1) "The ONLY way..." etc: Correct these are the only ways of acquiring these infections from the standpoint of personal behavior. The virus also is transmitted from mother to baby in the uterus or during delivery, by nursing babies, and in theory by massive blood exposure of the sort that might occur in caring for victims of auto accidents, gunshot wounds, etc; and by blood transfusion if for some reason the donor was not teated ahead of time.
2) Lancing devices also are 100% safe and never transmit these infections.
2c) I agree with your doctor. I looked at the link you provided; it confirms my judgment that lancing devices are safe.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear. Please do not ask me to confirm anything I have already said or agree with!

Thank you for your time
I just need you to agree with my doctor so that I can move on
1) first you have understood in my previous post point number 2
That it’s normal routine for hospital to re use the lancing device on different patients by using a new lancet
And you understood my concern of blood from previous patient being in lancing device and could contaminate my new lancet with blood as no cleaning of the lancing device is done between patients
And then nurse did my blood draw with it my pricking my finger
As explained this will not cause hiv or hepatitis c ! Or any other stds or other blood borne infections
1b) the hospital says it’s normal to re use the SAME lancing device on more than one patient for blood draw without ANY CLEANING of the lancing device
But use a new lancet each time
So you have understood This
And my doctor says it will not cause hiv hepatitis c etc
1c)Also you have understood they are different kinds of lancing device the one I showed you in the link maybe different as what the hospital used on me
1d)BOTTOM LINE no one ever gets hiv hepatitis b or hepatitis c or stds or blood borne infections from lancets when getting pricked by the lancet why ?
Because lancets are NOT drug injection equipment and by drug injection equipment we mean HOLLOW NEEDLE with SYRINGE attached which is the only way we get these viruses

2)I have one new Question & final concern my doctor says that needle sticks from hollow needles never caused hiv hepatitis b or hepatitis c or blood borne infections not even to health care workers when they get it immediately when removing hollow needle from patient during injection or blood draw and get needle stick
Why ? Because INJECTION is needed to cause hiv hepatitis c or blood borne infections you must PUSH PLUNGER OF SYRINGE to push blood into the body
So needle sticks cannot push blood into the body this my doctor is CERTAIN about
2a) all this is also true discarded hollow needle with or without syringe attached if one got injury for all viruses especially hepatitis c or hiv such as parks , hospital or ANYWHERE
3) note My doctor has 30 year experience on these viruses I want to believe him
And says there are NO CASES proven at all for any of the above questions I have asked and are verified from medical literature so I can move on
Sorry for LONG post but I need to move ON

The tone and style of your repeated questions makes them difficult to understand. It is clear you are obsessed with types of lancet and the possibility that somehow they could put you at risk for HIV and other blood borne viruses. We are STD experts, and not experts on lancets or how they are used. I'll just say it is very unlikely any hospital or doctor's office uses any lancet device in a way not recommended by the manufacturer and approved by the agencies that approve medical devices, such as the FDA. I have no way to know what kind of lancet or "lancing device" was used on you, but I am certain no patient has ever been infected by a lancet with any blood borne virus. You can trust your doctor's advice on all these issues.

Sorry that this forum isn't an appropriate source to address your concerns in the detail you seek, so this so this will have to end this discussion. I hope it has been a little bit helpful to you. Best wishes.
