14 days ago I had unprotected sex
We both we t and got tested and she tested positive for HSV-2, 6 was her value and she has never had any symptoms
All other tests were negative on both parties
Am I in the clear since it has been 14 days without any Penile sores? Would you recommit retest for HSV-2 or don’t worry about it since nothing has come up after 14 days?
Please advise

You are likely clear. Was it a one-time encounter? Have you ever been tested previously?  Have you ever had sores in the genital area before?

It was a one time encounter. I have never had genital sores and I tested negative for HSV-2 a year ago and 8 days after this exposure too it was negative
14 days now and no genital sores
Hopefully I’m in the clear and testing not warranted due to absence of lesions

I think transmission then is very unlikely.
